This Holiday season, The Salvation Army is working extra hard to make sure less people go without a meal and to bring joy of the holidays to Arizonans. We are excited to announce that our Tucson Hospitality House will host the Annual FREE Christmas meal for the community.
The Salvation Army is extremely grateful to the community of Tucson for working with us so we could still provide Christmas meals to our most vulnerable. This past year has been challenging in many ways, but with valued community partners and donors, The Salvation Army has been able to meet the increased need spawned by the pandemic. About 100 local volunteers will help to prepare and cook the traditional Christmas meal including turkeys and holiday sides. While our guests enjoy their meal, they will be entertained by the singing and dancing group, Kids Unlimited.
• There will be sit-down dine-in and drive thru options this year.
• We will also provide hand sanitizer and face masks. Salvation Army officers, volunteers and staff will all be wearing proper PPE, and hand sanitizing stations will be placed outside the building.

• Between advance prep and Christmas Day, around 30 volunteers will help make this event happen.
“This meal is for the people of Tucson. We are so grateful for the support we received throughout the year,” said Captain Ellen, Salvation Army Tucson Area Coordinator. “This meal is not just for the homeless, but for families and those alone on this day.”
