Founded in 1997, The Salvation Army Green Valley Service Center has been an important addition to the Green Valley retirement community and surrounding area.

The Green Valley Service Center provides spiritual and emotional support to the community and surrounding areas. It also provides a variety of programs and services:
 

Utility Assistance for residents of Amado, Arivaca, Green Valley and Sahuarita. Please call to schedule an appointment, Utility assistance by appointment only. Emergency assistance and referrals for eviction prevention, mental health, employment assistance, food banks, veteran's services and domestic abuse.

• Documents Required for Services

Donation center- not a Thrift Store: for small household items. Clothing, shoes, bags, kitchen utensils, Etc. No mattresses, box springs, furniture and no truck pick up is available. Please ring the bell at the 2nd door on the right.

Volunteer opportunities: Back-to-school, front desk reception (October-January), Thanksgiving Luncheon, Angel Tree, Senior Angel Tree, Red Kettle Bell Ringer and Christmas Eve Eve Luncheon.  Please call the office for more information.

Conference Center: available for community meetings
 

In addition to holding annual Red Kettle Drives during the holidays, the center is blessed to be a part of Green Valley community events all throughout the year:

• Community Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners

  • Holiday luncheons to be served 12:00-2:00 PM at GVR West Center 1111 S GVR Dr., Green Valley, AZ 85614

  • Please call to make a reservation or a home delivery for homebound seniors minimum one week in advance​
